I’m not sure I get the point they’re trying to make.

Trannies may exist, but the person they're striving to be doesn't.

This is some marketing person behind a desk asking themselves "what can I say that sounds somewhat supportive, but doesn't also piss off half of our customer base?"

There’s a weird growing mindset in marketing/advertising right now that “brands” have to be socially aware and be political. I get that for some corporations but I’ll never understand why brands like this, who literally have nothing to gain, try to get political. It’s like it’s a parody.

I don’t care if you’re gay, trans, whatever. But could you please not be so in my face about it? I don’t care.

Even crazier are the brands that attack their customers.

Dear Oreo,

Yes, Trans People exist. And I try to be kind to them.

But I won't be silenced from saying that gender dysphoria is a mental illness, and for me to play along with it is not a kindness to those afflicted.

So I guess I'll be baking my own cookies now.

I haven’t had an Oreo in a long time. And it looks like that’s going to continue. When are these corporations stay out of this shite?
