DuckDuckGo also provides a privacy plugin in addition to search.

The problem with any of these “alternative” platforms is that they will be purchased and absorbed by the established players at some point. That’s how it goes

And if demand keeps up that price to buy out will get steadily higher until the market is balanced.

Thats capitalism in action.

Glad Apple has taken a stand for privacy. At least they are trying.

I'm sorry, but I can't de-google. :(

There are no replacements for how I use calendar, drive, voice, mail, and other google apps products.

I will say "frick Google" whenever I use their shite though. That'll be a lot of "frick Googles" too.

Maybe so, but they're still made in China and I don't trust the Chinese.

Google seems the hardest to get away from. The mapping/GIS tools are the problem I cannot solve.

Also, MSFT has gotten into the data collection scheme. Soon the only way to stay pvt is going to require going tech-less.

I'm going to be migrating off of GMail in the next month by changing to an email address with a domain that I own. That way if my new service provider ever becomes too annoying, I can easily change to a new provider without having to change my email address.

I use google's mail servers for my domain email. It works exactly like Gmail, but I have @ my domain instead of @ gmail.

You're missing out. :)
