“I think it's a good idea not to surround yourself with criminals if you are going to be POTUS“

Or....maybe don’t attach yourself to a targeted POTUS or you may get steamrolled by the DOJ for doing so.

Party of personal responsibility?

How about we take a look at Obama's crew and the crimes they SHOULD be charged with and the parties responsible for making the charges fixed/rigged as well.

We would know because the criminal acts performed by the Obama regime and the Clinton cabal never seem to find their way into getting media scrutiny or the attention of the DOJ.

So you are playing the victim card because an all Republican government has led to these indictments. #PartyofPersonalResponsibility

So you are saying these men are innocent of these crimes?

Answer me this: would you be so laissez faire about criminals pleading and being found guilty all around Obama?
I'd have to know the facts, but I generally do not support guilt by association.

Bill Clinton's 3 closest business associates and political ally Arkansas governor were all indicted during whitewater for financial crimes and I didn't really think it had any bearing on Clinton.

Ronald Reagan had 180 admin offficials indicted over his 8 years and I shrugged it off because I didn't see any smoking gun complicity.

It is, however, interesting that you are bringing up Flynn being a criminal. He lied to the fbi, which is indeed a crime, but you actively supported someone in the 2016 election whose two closest advisors also lied to the FBI: Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin.

They BOTH told the FBI they did not know about the clinton server, yet we have emails that show Mills explicity asking Abedin about the server in 2010.

This is from the FBI interview of Mills in 2016

This is from a 2010 email

So your theory is that the government which currently is dominated by Republicans in every branch is giving Democrats a pass while persecuting Trump?

Do you even stop to evaluate your thinking? Ever?

I voted for Clinton over Trump. I never once defended the email server stupidity. At one point do you move past whataboutism and stop acting as apologist for what is at a minimum incompetence for appointing multiple criminals to your most inner circle?

As the right likes to say: Hillary lost. MOVE ON. Join us in holding a sitting POTUS accountable.

This is my big problem with your thinking: it makes a huge leap in assuming trump somehow knew or was supposed to know about Manafort being shady. Manafort has been on the campaign team of every republican president since George HW Bush. The fact of the matter is he had a very good resume and actually did a superb job ensuring enough delegates at convention. Nobody knew or could have known about his concealed corrupt background.

Also, Flynn was hired BEFORE he committed a federal crime (lying to FBI), which he did after 2016 election. So that example doesn't hold imo. That is like me calling into question your competency if your employee committed some felony or crime after you hired him.

He was warned about Flynn. And in my world for better are for worse executives are responsible for the people they hire. After years of rhetoric about corruption and criminality in the government I find it amazing that the right doesn't care at all about criminals in the executive branch.

Obama and Trump have both had exactly ONE person in their cabinet been nailed with a federal crime: Michael Flynn for lying to FBI and, for Obama, his WH counsel Greg Craig, whom Mueller is going to nail with FARA violations for work done in Ukraine.

I think it is completely unfair to connect Craig to Obama, btw.

Not saying they’re innocent . I agree that he’s surrounded himself with some sketchy characters. Maybe not any more so than the average president. Look up all the Clinton cronies who went to jail, including Chelsea’s rumored father Webster Hubbel. Whitewater, campaign contributions, espy/Tyson foods. It’s like 40 Clinton associates.

The trump crew has been mostly convicted of process crimes and the substantive crimes pre dated and were unrelated to the presidency. They likely never would’ve even been looked at had they not been connected to the president and therefore placed in the DOJ crosshairs. The same probably rings true for the Clinton folks.

Show me the man and I will find you the crime. If the DOJ wants to get anyone, they’ll find something. Especially if they think you’re a bait fish. Whether Dem or Repub.

I think its a bit convenient to disavow one of the architects of Trump's campaign, his personal attorney for decades, and his NSA who he was warned about. That said, this isn't over and we will have a final situation to review at some point. Perhaps between icing our buttholes over the football season results we will have time to continue this discussion

Not to troll or anything or ruin your night, and I think the thread is now deleted...but some LSU dude on the rant made a cryptic OP about LSU players being suspended for opener, including starters. Post had zero evidence or further info. It is deleted now.

There is a thread on secrant though

That would definitely be vintage LSU. I was wondering why we didn't have one of our best players dismissed in the offseason.

Govt is majority Republican and we have no indictment of those people. Damnit, if we have evidence what is the hold up?

The real question is how many Republicans will vote to impeach along with 100% of the Democrats.
