He didn't denounce or renounce his initial opinion, not that I'm aware of. In other words, I haven't seen where he said "My opinion was wrong." I perceived it instead as "I need to perhaps augment my opinions with additional information and consider the other side of the debate as well." And if that doesnt sound reasonable, nothing will.

“We (white people) are the problem.”

- Brittany Brees

You really think she came up with that on her own? Or that that’s reasonable? She wasn’t even part of the initial controversy.

Again, we’re just going to have to agree to disagree, because I just don’t know what to tell you.

Well I think she went on to expound on that by saying we're the problem because we're not listening, which I don't find all that offensive. Listening never hurt nobody. I certainly don't see their statements as justification for writing Drew's entire legacy off, considering what he's done for the game and for his community. Nor is there justification for the mindless Brittany memes. And please know that I am not accusing you of any of that, just generally speaking.

And agreed....to disagree. It's all good, nobody hurt. Well somebody is somewhere I'm sure, but we're good.

You’re trying too hard here, davyjones.

Drew gave up the dignity of himself, his wife, and children.

There are things worse than dying.

None of us turned on Brees. By his own actions, he gave many of us no choice.

So, frick him, and frick the Saints.

I can only speak for myself, but there wouldn't be anything I'd stop at to protect my children. Up to and including prison or death. I'm certain they feel the same because that's ultimate parenting. Refusing to say sorry doesn't quite trump that duty.

I wonder what the impact would be if he gave that money to Xavier University in New Orleans?

I guess the Gold Rush would have to revive the football program. Last season was 1959. They used to play Dillard on Thanksgiving.
