The United Kingdom will refuse to allow the United States to use its airbases,
What are they gonna do about it? They have no power.

We have a sub that can fire 140 cruise missiles in the region.
We have more than one

We need to take full advantage of extricating ourselves from post WW II policing of Europe. Probably should have done so under Ronald Reagan
That will be the 2nd best thing to come out of all of this. We effectively leave NATO and Europe realizes they have no power against Russia and their collaboration to create this one world government with the elites, politicians, and Deep State of the U.S. fails.
Of course we're only 1 rigged election from it coming back

I feel like NawlinsTiger is writing his comments. They're on about the same level.

@ScottJenningsKY with a reality check for CNN viewers about Iran— the country that chants “Death to America”:
“It sounds to me like you're questioning whether we're on the moral or righteous side of this conflict against these Iranian butchers… The bottom line of this conflict is: this is a country that for 47 years has been run by religious fanatics that are desperate to bring about the end of the world with a nuclear weapon. Their principal mantras are 'Death to America' and 'Death to Israel,' and he is trying to prevent that. I'm not really having trouble seeing the right and the wrong here, or the moral versus the immoral. I believe in the righteousness of this mission. I think most Americans do, and I think it's pretty easy to tell the good guys from the bad guys here. But I'm hearing a lot of people in the air saying, 'I don't really know.'”

Wondering who has to work the graveyard shift at Iran's power plant tomorrow night.
Kind of puts a new spin on what 3rd shift really is.

The MC-130s were used because they can carry the little birds while also acting as a forward refuel point for not only the little birds but any ground equipment they may have had as well.
The main landing gear tires are massive, biggest in the Air Force, but the nose landing gear tires are much smaller. That is likely what got stuck, potentially while maneuvering on the ground to get in position to take off.
I'm sure they didn't have maintenance crews with them so there was only so much they could do. At that point, it's an easy decision between losing an aircraft vs losing an entire team of people plus air crew.

Pure speculation on my part but something kind of similar happened when a Boeing 737 in 1988 emergency landed on a levee near New Orleans and it was kind of a rush to get the engines fixed and get it back in the air as it was sinking into the ground.
I don’t remember that detail. At that time I was working at the NASA facility where the plane landed. It landed on a long grass field that happened to be on top of an old hidden runway. The pilot was pleasantly surprised at how firm the ground was and how easy the landing was.
The most important point about the whole episode is that I got the day off.

BREAKING: Iran’s IRGC says it has “removed all previous considerations” in its response, warning U.S. regional partners that earlier restraint in targeting has ended, according to Fars News Agency.
The IRGC adds it will target U.S. and allied infrastructure in a way that could deprive them of regional oil and gas resources for years.

The IRGC warns that it will begin targeting energy infrastructure in the region, stating that its previous restraint has ended, threatening to disrupt regional oil and gas supplies for years to come.
“Until now, we have exercised great restraint for the sake of good neighborliness in choosing targets for retaliation. But from now on, all these considerations have been lifted. If the U.S. crosses red lines, our response will extend beyond the region,” the IRGC said.
