If I remember correctly from the war in Afganistan, each of those bombs dropped from B52s are individually directed. Those are not just dumb bombs. Correct me if I am incorrect.

Operation Epic Fury now dwarfs "shock and awe"

CENTCOM chief Admiral Brad Cooper revealed the staggering scale of the campaign against Iran: nearly 2,000 targets destroyed, 17 warships sunk including a submarine, and the operation has already surpassed the intensity of the 2003 Iraq invasion's opening bombardment by nearly double.

Over 50,000 American troops, 200 fighter jets, two carrier strike groups, and strategic bombers are engaged right now, with more assets still flowing into the theater.

Cooper said Iranian air defenses have been "severely degraded" along with hundreds of ballistic missiles, launchers, and drones.

This is officially the largest U.S. military deployment to the Middle East in a generation.

And Cooper made sure to add four words at the end that should keep Tehran up at night:

"more capability is on the way."

BREAKING: CENTCOM Commander just revealed that the US military is for the first time in history using originally *IRANIAN*-designed one-way attack drones against Iran

Flipped it RIGHT BACK at them!

"These drones were originally an Iranian design. We took them back to America, made them better, and fired them RIGHT BACK at Iran."

"I just could not be prouder of our men and women in uniform, leveraging innovation to create dilemmas for the enemy."

"There is no adversary too determined, no mission too difficult for the great soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, guardians, and Coast Guardsmen that make up the most powerful military the world has ever seen."

Bad*ss. The most powerful military ever.

Jake Tapper pressed Senator John Fetterman after the Iran briefing — and got an answer CNN viewers are not going to like.

JAKE TAPPER: “Senator, the Trump administration just wrapped up its Iran briefing for all members of Congress.”

“Did they give any information that gives you ANY pause about supporting this war?”

SENATOR FETTERMAN: “No, nothing that I’ve heard.”

“I mean, I think overall, I think the dynamic really is the same.”

“And now ever since especially after 10/7 — every single Senator agreed that we can’t ever allow Iran to acquire a nuclear bomb.”

“And now here we’ve had what’s happened, it seems now this has made it virtually impossible to do that at this point.”

“And that’s also severely damaged their entire military apparatus.”

“So I’d say that I think overall, this has been a very, a big big win for, for global security, especially in the Middle East.”

I'm pretty sure Iran is being hit by b2 and b52s at the moment so probably not much outgoing from them right now.

JUST IN: Bill Melugin just cornered Hakeem Jeffries with a simple question. Pelosi said Obama didn’t need Congress to bomb Libya. Now Democrats say Trump does. What changed? Jeffries dodged, said the question wasn’t in good faith. Melugin fired back. Libya lasted seven months. The room went quiet. Same playbook every time. Different rules depending on who’s in charge. Hypocrisy exposed.

This is a ballsy power play by Trump.

Lloyd's of London was the gold standard for maritime insurance policies until just a day or two ago when they started cancelling policies or jacking them up 3-5X. Others insurers followed. That collapsed commercial shipping traffic through Hormuz, which choked oil shipments out of the Middle East.

Trump doing this means the DFC has the chance to displace Lloyd's as the big dog in this game, when they have been the lock-in player for many years.

It also frees up all the oil that was getting trapped there, heading off shortages and keeping the energy market alive.

And why not? It's the American navy that sunk the Iranian ships that were harassing tankers. And the American Navy -- at least for now -- will keep those tankers safe.

It's a huge reassurance to allies -- both oil producers and oil consumers -- that our campaign in Iran isn't going to sink their economies. And it allows America to be choosy about traffic in the Strait.

It also potentially means billions of dollars in insurance premiums at wartime rates going to America instead of the UK. And those rates are STILL going to be cheaper than what shippers were getting.

BREAKING: CNN confirms Kurdish opposition forces are preparing to move into western Iran as part of a “ground operation” — as early as tomorrow.

President Trump spoke directly to one of their leaders today.

CNN chief international correspondent Clarissa Ward, reporting from Iraq, says the intel came directly from a senior Kurdish politician.

WARD: “We spent some time this evening with a senior Iranian-Kurdish politician here in Iraqi Kurdistan, who basically told us that he the expectation among Kurdish-Iranian opposition forces is that they will be going into western Iran as part of some kind of a ground operation over the course or at some point during the next few days…”

“That they will have support from the US and from Israel, though he would not be drawn as to what exactly that support will look like.”

“He also told us that President Trump himself had called the leader of the KDPI, which is one of these Iranian-Kurdish opposition parties, today and that they had what he categorized as or characterized I should say, as a positive conversation.”

“Though again, he did not give any details.”

“And he said that we should be prepared for some surprises, potentially tomorrow.”

“Again, not giving details, but this is all coming at the same time as our colleagues…are learning that the CIA has been working to arm Iranian-Kurdish opposition forces with the goal of fomenting civil unrest in Iran.”

These “bases” were mostly unmanned prior to the start of strikes. The Military and WH leadership has opted to not defend them they are strategically irreverent to the mission at the moment. The bases and assets deemed important are being defended.

Resources and bases can be rebuilt. Live lost are lost forever.

And if after this is all over and we have a stable Iran we won’t need all these bases anyways.

I know everyone wants a perfect game, but you give up a hit and a possible solo homerun…..but still win in a blowout.
