Why do people keep clinging to the "it's not a wave"? Results are all that matter. Not emotional victories.

Wave narrative = zilch.

CBS with an interesting point that for POTUS 2020 elections, a weak DNC majority in the House hurts the Dems as they may be forced to split their powers with moderate candidates seeking out close wins.

So? Aren’t the Dems always going on about how much better they are? More educated? Refined? Shouldn’t they pass some legislation to improve our country? Instead their first priority is to continue a two year long investigation because they have a sad.

MT appears it will have a majority DEM leadership between the House and Senate.

Interesting take.

If you think back to the 2010 Tea Party, those guys came in like wrecking balls. They were right wing, some far right wing, and were damn proud of it. The Freedom Caucus, representing the Tea Party, was a thorn in John Boehner's arse. They're still far right today.

The dems? I can't name a single far left House candidate that flipped a seat tonight. They ran as moderates in Clinton districts. I don't see the party pulling them further right given how centrist they already are.

A slim majority in the House is worthless

Anything that comes before the House is a simple majority vote. Doesn't matter if you hold 219 seats or 400 seats, you're still going to put anything you want through the House.

If they don't, they'll lose in 2020.

And he can tell them to fribble off.

There won’t be a single thing they can do about it

Except that all those seats will be up with Trump in 2020 and Pelosi is an idiot if she makes her centrist caucus members vote on bullshite legislation that won't make it through the senate

It greatly limits what a smart speaker is going to push
