I stayed in Lafayette one night on the way to AL.

It was a huge number of cops, more cops than the number of them at the Dove Creek diner in Roanoke, TX at 6 AM on a weekend.

Hate to see that happen. Laffy used to be one of my prime destination party towns when I came off a multi-month hitch on the tug boats. Only college town that was in its league that I experienced was Statesboro, Georgia. The irony of that is now ULL (I liked "USL" better) and Georgia Southern play in the same conference. They call the Georgia-Florida game the Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, so there has to be some similar label for the major leagues of party schools meeting on the gridiron and damn the PC police that tries to suppress having a good time.

Have you noticed that the number of these shootings seems to have gone up since they cancelled Live PD? Lafayette participated in the show or maybe it was New Iberia. Either way, I see a strong relationship between the two.
