I just had to explain to my wife, who asked me, "why are there no mass protests demanding Biden step down?" When I was done explaining what's been happening, she said, "Oh my God, this sounds like the Nazi Gestapo's intimidation tactics in Germany. Why has't the news been telling me? "

Its the most outrageous thing I have ever witnessed, and watching them gaslight the masses compounds it. There's no doubt this is nefarious and will end very badly.

In an email from the ONI’s Chief of Staff, ONI members were reminded that per a Uniform Code of Military Justice and Department of Defense Directive clause they cannot disrespect senior government leadership. This includes the President, Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, and more.

Per the same uniformed personnel policy, ONI members cannot participate in partisan political activity or distribute partisan political literature.

An internal ONI member told The Daily Wire that these policies were more relaxed under the Trump administration and recalled retired officers condemning President Trump.

The email reads:

Given the heightened political and social atmosphere surrounding Afghanistan, it is important to remind our uniformed personnel (active duty and reservists on temporary active duty) and military retirees of their responsibilities and obligations under Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and Department of Defense Directive 1344.10. While it is vital to protect the constitutional right of freedom of expression for these groups, consistent with mission accomplishment, national security, and good order and discipline, it’s important to remember certain limitations. Namely, uniformed personnel and military retirees are prohibited from disrespecting senior government leadership (e.g. the President, Vice President, Congress, Secretary of Defense, Service Secretaries, etc.).

The email continues to claim that the policy extends to ONI “civilians” as well. These members were specifically directed to avoid “being too vocal in criticism of, say, the President.”

Even for civilians, you are reminded of the danger that your public comments will/could be attributed to ONI or the Department of Defense. While you are entitled to your opinion and to share your opinion amongst those you know and trust, being too vocal in criticism of, say, the President or members of the military and civilian leadership may reflect poorly on ONI. It is important to share your opinions, if you choose to do so, in a professional manner that does not call into question your employment, the Department of Defense, or the federal government as a whole.

I am wondering if this is just for the ONI. I also wonder about China's outright warning about the new report claiming covid came from them being 'inconclusive'

I have zero doubt Austin would fry anyone not praising their dear leader Biden and his inept cabinet. So they are using this as a general warning.

I think they call this the Nuremberg defense.

You'd have a point if they were rounding up people to execute them for being Republican or some shite like that. I will admit that, having worked in the intelligence community for eight years and some change, there was definitely more of an aversion to Trump than there was toward Obama or toward Biden.

I personally don't know why there was such animus considering Trump gave the military more free range to do its job than his predecessor or his successor. He also gave us pay increases.

I do. Intelligence people do not like when their assessments are not treated as sacred gospel.

They have violated habeas corpus for the 1/6 protestors and are holding them indefinitely with no bail while prison guards in DC beat the shite out them. When Russia does half that we call them political prisoners. When the Feds do it, we call it good old American justice. I’m sure you and your ilk will “just be following orders” when they round up the other citizens they don’t like. Be sure to read about White Rage while you are getting your asses kicked by some illiterate goat frickers! That will come in handy at your next promotion board.

My experience has been the current cohort of military officers have little courage or integrity, it’s all about promotion and political power, and it gets worse the higher up you go in command. Seems like it fits you and your buddy Noles. The recent Marine Lt. Col who was relieved of duty for calling out the rampant lack of integrity in command was a notable exception.
