I noticed the google doodle this morning (so glad they can culturally enrich my life every morning), and i was curious about who this Abdul Sattar Edhi character was. So i clicked on his Wikipedia and notice the following:

quote:

He was born in Bantva in the Gujarat, British India into a Memon family.[19][1][20][21] Edhi in his autobiography himself revealed that he didn't know his date of birth.[22] But according to media reports published following his death, he was born on 1 January 1928.[23][24][25][26][27][28][19] However, in 2017, Google Doodle marked his date of birth as 28 February 1928 following which several reports emerged in favour of 28 February 1928

quote:

He is known as Angel of Mercy and is considered to be Pakistan's "most respected" and legendary figure.[3][12] In 2013, The Huffington Post claimed that he might be "the world's greatest living humanitarian",[13] while on the 28th of February 2017, Google celebrated Edhi with a Google Doodle hailing his "super-efficient" ambulance service.[14]

I dont know this guys faith, and i dont really care. I just find it comical how anti American Google is in their decisions to post certain Google Doodles on certain days in history, while ignoring events on others all together.. Seems like theyre trying way too hard with their Globalism agenda.

Good person it seems, nonetheless. I bet they creamed their pants at an opportunity to report on a foreign Muslim figure.

Today is Mardi Gras. That is a theme people actually would recognize and care about.

way to be a douche. My thread shows where most people thought this dude was born in January, but because Google Doodle decided it was his birthday today, it has been updated in the Wiki page and media outlets are running with it.... Weird

Tis you and the redneck that are melting.

Nothing in his post indicated melting. Nothing. He was asking questions.

God forbid we have a discussion of Google's probably agendas.

You guys need to simmer down and stop shite posting meling all the time. Consider that a challenge.

How many threads do we need on the same damn thing? If calling you or anyone else out for duplicate threads is being a douche, then every single one of us has been a douche at one time or another.

serious question?

Is it really though?

Do you see me talking poorly about the guy, or merely pointing out an odd inconsistency, making it look like Google is trying too hard.

You are exaggerating my emotions for your argument.

its fricking bizarre

What is fricking bizarre is the incessant push to normalize Islam against all the evidence that it is an intolerant religion, while condemning anything Christian as if they are the problem.

Also, its bizzarre that you have to be in the first 10 posts of all of these threads. dont click on them, pussy

Again, reading comprehension would serve you well. While, i didnt see the original thread (after searching the mans first name, last name, and "doodle") this thread is NOT about why he should be honored.. More about the fact that it may not even be his birthday.

so yes

the guy himself said he didn't know when he was born

so does it matter? the January 1 bday seems like just a generic bday for anyone born in 1928. Did you research why Google chose this date?

this guy was a tolerant Muslim, he helped everyone, and even condemned Muslims that were anti Christian

if anything you should celebrate more Muslims like this getting recognition

I was able to ignore them and learned something new today.

Do I need to link you to a video of an actual melt?

I simply "Googled" this and came up with This Article

quote:

Perhaps the most extreme condemnations come from the editors of the populist WorldNetDaily.com, who have all but accused Google of advancing the cause of godless communism. "Google consistently ignores patriotic American holidays such as Memorial Day and Veterans Day," WorldNetDaily's editors wrote last October, "but today it acknowledged an accomplishment of the communist Soviet Union, which launched the Sputnik satellite fifty years ago.

A couple of things have been stated in this thread: Mardi Gras, Carnival, Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, Pancake Day (yes that is a thing in the UK), Paczki Day, or Fastnacht Day.

Last day of black history month as well

Actually, it was not you. You just claimed he was mad.

So, do you want me to post a video of someone who is truly mad?
