Frankly I think they chose a stupid place to live and their government interventionism and environmental practices/policies have done them nothing but harm.
Maybe they shouldn’t cram 7,000 people per sq. Mile of land in LA and then expect to have endless water on tap.

It's been very ridiculous for a long time. You guys were absolutely out of control during the George W bush presidency and every Republican that I know was for it. We even spent a bunch of tax dollars on nation building and giant embassies all for insider contracts. Republicans are usually for excessive military spending

Heck the administrative cost of simply involving government in any capacity creates deadweight loss that makes it unsustainable.

It would do far more good in iprivate investment markets and be more of a benefit to the people
Tax dollars just enrich the counties around D.C.
