The person briefed on the deal said that it was narrow in scope, protecting Mr. Weisselberg from self-incrimination in sharing information with prosecutors about Mr. Cohen, Mr. Trump’s former personal lawyer, who pleaded guilty on Tuesday to tax and campaign finance charges. The latter charges stemmed from payments during the campaign to two women who said they had affairs with Mr. Trump. It was not, the person said, a blanket immunity extending beyond the information he shared, and Mr. Weisselberg remains in his job at the Trump Organization.
Mr. Weisselberg figured into the charges filed against Mr. Cohen this week, having facilitated the processing of what prosecutors described as “sham invoices” at the Trump Organization, through which Mr. Cohen was reimbursed for the money he had paid to quiet one of the women alleging an affair with Mr. Trump, the pornographic film actress Stephanie Clifford.

They're going to impeach DJT for an affair. And not realize the irony.

But texrider and tigerdoc said that he knows where all the bodies are buried! I though this would be the end of drumpf??

tigerDC and VOR assured us that this was just the first domino to fall and that the entire organization was going down. After all, this guy knew where the bodies were buried!

You’d think that dumbass coyote would learn after getting played by that nimble roadrunner over and over too.
But here we are. Same song different day.

Was listening to Bensen and Harf on my way home from work yesterday. Harf was so sure this was the big one.

He really is the quintessential useful idiot. I'd hear arguments for Toddy (though I think he goes overboard in purpose, ie a troll) and TigerDoc.
Releasing news like this immunity deal the way they do, the media has a desired outcome. That is to make factual, yet generally mundane news into the bombshell of the century, with the hopes that enough people have the right amount of confirmation bias to spread it to promulgate a specific narrative. And few on this board do it better than the guy who has posted a thread about both of these predictable immunity deals in the context of "it's happening."
