You think that adding the volume of NVIDIA's manucaturing to thier lineup didn't create jobs at that plant?

I imagine the plant was built with this consideration in mind. How many facilities are built for 4nm technology?

quote:

As of now, three factories are being built by TSMC in Arizona, each capable of producing 4nm technology. The first factory, Fab 1, began limited production in 2024, and the second factory, Fab 2, is currently under construction. A third factory is scheduled to be completed by 2030, which will also produce 4nm chips.

That's all we needed to do. Instead we enact the 2025 version of the ACA.

I honestly think we were desperate at the time due to shortages during/post Covid.

And enacting tariffs to try to onshore production was faster than simply calling up Intel, T.I., Micron, or GlobalFoundries (all of whom Google says already have significant domestic manufacturing facilities) and offering them a government contract?

Nvidia is having to build the plant to do this.

Either way (because, yeah, I get it, this is a specialized chip), that doesn't seem to be the relevant point. You can't build a plant any faster because your motivation is tariffs vs a contract.

They were going to have to build either way. We could have spent money just on this, or we could have raised the price on everything. We chose the latter. That's my point.

This seems to be setting up for a bigtech takeover of the economy.

So, a half of 1 digit?

FYI, gas is at $2.18/gallon locally. Gonna be hard to keep talking about inflation with decreasing energy prices.

That's MILES from double digits. We might be baws but we CAN count.

But don't you know, two dot nine *is* double digits in the clown-universe. A "2" and a "9" - double digits, don't you see it? If they start reporting to the hundredths, say 2.13%, OMG TRIPLE-DIGIT INFLATION - WE'RE DOOMED!!!!!!!!

And water resources, in some areas.

BI is left leaning so I gotta temper some of their statements but if half of this is correct we may be in for a strange future.

Average inflation under Biden was 21.2%. Not 2.9%. "but it was the same when he left office". And i'm sure i could pick 1 point in time that Biden was coherent, doesn't erase his governance as a whole.

How often per day, do you think of Trump? Honest question, because TDS is a legitimate psychosis. And i'm always curious, psychologically, what happens to your body when the name "Trump" is mentioned? Hot flashes? Do you see red? What is it about your mind, that you can't think rationally regarding anything Trump?

President Donald Trump announced what he said were “kind” reciprocal tariffs against more than 180 countries Wednesday, along with a baseline tariff against other countries, delivering the most sweeping tariff package the U.S. has implemented in decades. How often do YOU think of Trump?

What happens to YOUR body when someone says, "I voted for Trump three times and am glad we had him to choose over Kamala, but he's wrong about this one thing?"

Do you see red like in the cartoons? Why can't you understand that that is not a rationale response to any politician? Do you lose your stiffie for the man? Is that why you get so upset? Don't you realize that unquestioning loyalty is one of the hallmarks of being in a cult?

This works both ways.

2nd time to the person behind the wall of TDS.

quote:

During Joe Biden's presidency, the average inflation rate was approximately 21.2% from 2021 to 2024. This significant increase in prices was influenced by various factors, including supply chain disruptions and rising energy costs.

quote:

Cumulative Inflation
Total Inflation: Approximately 21.2% from January 2021 to December 2024.
Comparison with Previous Administration
Trump's Inflation Rate: Approximately 7.9% during his four years (2017-2021).
Key Factors Influencing Inflation
Supply Chain Disruptions: Resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Government Stimulus: Significant spending in 2020 and 2021.
Global Events: Such as the invasion of Ukraine, which affected energy prices.
Biden's presidency has seen inflation rates that are notably higher than those during Trump's term, contributing to economic challenges for many households.

There's that bus driver wit coming through. You'll be ok. Just think, Trump is securing your grandchildren's future. Even though you've admitted you really don't care about that, and are just concerned with your school pension being wiped away by bad choices.

Where did I get upset?

If posting their own logic back to idiots on this board upset me I'd have already had a stroke by now.
