Yes we all know about history. The number one thing we know is that history cannot be changed - it can be lied about or celebrated but it cannot be changed until Stephen Hawkins invents a time machine and goes back and kills every indiividual who dares try to invent a steam engine - or goes even further back and changes the physics of molecules so they they do not react to oxygen to produce heat.

If Haiti is a shithole - then the sensible thing to do is work to improve Haiti. Plenty of sub Saharan African and Central American countries are more socialist than the US

I imagine Haiti is too but I don't know much about Haiti other than it's one of the literal worst countries on Earth
