I'm unfamiliar with pentagon protocol, but don't they raise and lower the flag every day like all other military installations? The ones I was stationed at always took the flag down at 1700 and I see these images are after that time.

I thought we lowered ours at sunset, but I honestly cannot remember. That was a day or two ago though.
