There is no realistic military plan that could help in any significant manner right now, but even if there was... its not a military operation.
You keep repeating this but the only people saying that are the ones who got us into this mess to begin with. Nobody believes them bc they obviously have no idea what they are doing.

Well, you don't need them, what plan you got?

I’d prefer to hear from someone who’s help a recent command there.

It has nothing to do with that.
You have very little options, almost nothing really. I mean you do have an option to go down in a Blaze of Glory.

For our military commanders to orchestrate a mission to take the airport and our base back while keeping the civilians safe and then extracting everyone out. That's what I want to see. That's the mission that should be being planned now. Then that last soldier can turn the lights off as he leaves that shithole.
I actually hope that Austin's comment was to make us seem weak, while behind the scenes we are planning this. Pipe dream though.

That's not a plan, you're asking someone else to magically come up with a plan.

That isn't a show, there are no or limited military options available if you want people to live or more like to minimizing the risk of them dying.
Its RISK vs. REWARD. Huge risk with very little chance of reward.
Now, if some other variable come up, you can readdress the risk vs reward ratio... right now... its shitty at best.
He's not lying.

Well, turns out you said it's not possible in this post.

Of course it is risk vs reward. I'm talking about if Americans start being killed. Is it not worth the risk of SOME dying vs all of them? Do we sit back and just let them all get slaughtered? If we have to invade there will be casualties, of course.

I reiterate my previous comment. In fact I should multiply it by 10.

So you want me, someone with no military experience, to come up with the plan? I'd prefer people who do this for a living to come up with the plan. Magically, yes, if that's how you want to word it. But here is where you will answer that it's not possible.
Nobody is going to have a good plan, there isn't many factors here. You don't have to be a general with years of war college to see that.

Well, you can go back to full scale invasion again.. cya in maybe 6-12 months. All those people will be long dead by that time, right?
Diplomacy i.e. bribes, is more or less the only avenue to get people out of there in mass.
You're basically saying the guy is wrong, but you are not saying how he is wrong.

Warriors don’t become generals or admirals anymore and haven’t in a long time. They’re all political animals, bootlickers and arse kissers. They don’t give two shits about what’s best for our country ,or the boots on the ground. All they care about are the fat cat positions they are going to get with defense contractors after they retire
Gen. Mattis for example that Trump mistakenly appointed Sec.Of Defense criticized Trump for his America First policy. He was on the board of directors for General Dynamics, reotedly made $900,000 over 5 years. After he resigned he signed on with the Cohen group as a consultant. They advise foreign companies on how to do business in the U.S.,they have 2 offices in China.

What part about a bunch of rainbow loving, CRT driven socialists did anyone not become convinced we are fricked?

Yes, that is correct. I am not an expert in these matters, but I believe we have people who can plan execute such missions. You obviously don't....

Other than "3, 2, 1 mortar the airport".
Explain it to me like I'm 5 since you have inside knowledge the Taliban's military tactic capabilities vs our military.

He doesn't. He's been in every thread on this subject saying the same thing over and over. And he is literally the only person saying this. Let that sink in for a second. The only one. I think maybe he is trolling.

Small group of mortars outside of the airport and the whole airport is toast, this can be done with very few people. The airport is a stationary target, as are the ground planes and personnel. Its a kill zone for mortars, once the airport is taken out... there is no realistic way of getting support into there with full out invasion i.e. 6-12 months. All those troops will be toast.

You just don't like his answer, you think he just made all that up?
However, let's say you are right, which you're really not. There is still nothing the guy can do because its not a military operation and he has no orders to do what you want him to do.
