NFL refuses veterans’ ‘please stand’ Super Bowl ad

Apparently, only NFL players are allowed freedom of speech. People who actually fought to protect the NFL players right to free speech are not allowed to exercise their free speech rights. NFL slaps Veterans in he face again. Shame on the NFL!
They spiked this political football.
The NFL is refusing to run a veterans group’s Super Bowl ad asking people to “please stand” for the national anthem because the message is too political.
AMVETS sought to place a $30,000, full-page print ad in programs for Super Bowl LII that will be handed out to fans at Minneapolis’ US Bank Stadium when the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 4.
A mock-up of the sacked ad features soldiers holding aloft Old Glory beside the message “#PleaseStand.”
The issue of players kneeling during “The Star-Spangled Banner” to protest racism has become a thorny issue, with the left defending athletes’ rights to protest, and right-wingers — including President Trump — claiming that kneeling is a slap in the face of veterans.

It IS a slap in the face of Veterans, as they are saying that the nation the vets and servicemen are fighting for is unjust and racist... a farce.
That said, the vets DID fight for their right to speak out. The players can kneel, and the teams can(and should if they want) fire them. Now, my beef is with the NFL and how they handle it. They have taken a SJW stance instead of staying the frick out of it. I want to see sports, not politics.

My god you are so misrepresenting this topic by making that statement the way that you just did. Your title is wrong and needs to be changed.
They were trying to put a political ad in the programs handed out at the stadium.....not trying to buy air time for a video. frick! Get it right if you are going to post something.
Good for the NFL. Shame on these short sighted political groups. This is a bullshite tactic by the people behind this.

A: Never.
As a veteran myself, I support the rights of Americans to express themselves as allowed by our Constitution's freedoms as laid down by the Founding Fathers.

But the NFL has no issues with left leaning political commentary in their commercials. To say there is no bias is to have your head up your arse.

As do I, but what about them denying this group from expressing themselves while allowing the immigration commercials in past years.
NFL is not above politics, they are just to the left. And that’s fine, just don’t pretend you are above it
I don’t necessarily care what the decide to do personally. I know where they stand and just watch football for the football
