Congrats NFL - you did it!

I really miss watching Monday Night Football with my dad in the 70's. We always looked forward to that in those days.
But not so much politics and wokeness ruining it for me, yes that played a part. In reality pro football has just lost its luster for me. I can't pinpoint why but its not the same as it was 30 plus yrs ago.

I miss pro ball, but will do other things

Same. Watching the saints Sunday evening is something I look forward to like a little kid.
Very depressing.

Zero impact on me as I no longer watch it.

Eventually only 13% of america will be watching.

Same here back in the day. When players started moving around and teams switched uniforms or moved here and there? Used to be an allegiance back in the day to a town or team - that changed long ago however and have not watched in years. Hearing about the current stance? Well I am glad I made the disconnection years ago.
Unfortunately college ball is following the path of wokeness now. Just a matter of time before it is full tilt.

I was planning to only watch Joe and Jamar but may rethink that!
Right there with you

Thanks, I needed to justify continuing not watching a single play since this shite started in '16. Seriously spent over 40 years watching the games.

Has nothing to do with the song dipshit. They live in our country. We have a NATIONAL anthem the represents all American citizens regardless of race, religion or creed. I refuse to support any organization that recognizes a separate anthem that doesn’t represent this country and the citizens that make it up. I dont see Latinos doing this in baseball. I don’t see Asians who live here have a problem standing for our anthem. Why do the blacks want to be recognized separately? Do they not like it here? It’s a big world. I’m sure they can find their Wakanda. But it apparently won’t be here under this flag and anthem.
Whew. Take a deep breath, my friend.

Apparently they think their business is so strong pissing off a large percentage of their customers is not an issue.
Yeah, let's see how that works out for them.
Yeah, let's see how that works out for them.

The NFL also plan to increase its social justice messaging during the 2021 season.
That has done gangbusters for the NBA and MLB. Genius plan.

I'm familiar with the song and it is a beautiful song. It's not the "black national anthem", though.
Yeah, thats my point. Just because its "referred" to as that doesn't make it what it is. This is all just being framed in a way to trigger and divide. I must have missed the Black Community meeting where we decided which song would be our official national anthem forever. I would have casted multiple votes for Back That arse Up FTR

No, no, no - you misunderstand me
No I heard you loud and clear. I wasn't referring to you, but the other person who was excited to watch Burrow and Chase but now he's reconsidering watching.

Yeah, I give the NFL 2 years before they file for bankruptcy and go the route of the XFL.

Do you have a retort or just snark?

As coach said, NFL means NOT FOR LONG if they do that kind of stuff.

Yet another reason I won’t be watching.

There was no black community meeting. Like everything else, the white liberals decided what was best for y’all.
