Over half a million active pilots in the US and you characterize 250 as "many of your peers"?

More accurate to say that an incredibly small minority of his peers disagree with him.

This is what I saw below the "resume" of each pilot I checked.....from your link:

quote:

Member: Pilots for 9/11 Truth Association Statement: "Pilots for 9/11 Truth is an organization of aviation professionals and pilots throughout the globe that have gathered together for one purpose. We are committed to seeking the truth surrounding the events of the 11th of September 2001. Our main focus concentrates on the four flights, maneuvers performed and the reported pilots. We do not offer theory or point blame. However, we are focused on determining the truth of that fateful day since the United States Government doesn't seem to be very forthcoming with answers."

Imagine that. Airline pilots wanting to know exactly what happened to their fellow pilots.

Having said that...in my aviation career I have met plenty of pilots that love a good conspiracy.

I mean come on, is that the type of shite posted there?

A lot of bullshite there.

This guy certainly has an unbiased opinion:

I also personally knew American Airlines Captain “Chick” Burlingame, who was the captain of Flight 77 which allegedly hit the Pentagon, and I know he would not have given up his airplane to crazies!

Well it's not like a lot of people are going to want to talk about it or everyone was polled.

.04% dude. That's the percentage of pilots that you held up as "many of his peers". You're going to have to do better than that.

The profiles are also full of statements like this one:
quote:

WTC Towers 1 and 2 and Building 7 were brought down by tightly controlled sequenced explosive charges. First the basements were blown out, then the classic 'crimp' blowing out interior columns that allowed them to fall at free-fall speed, pulling the exterior walls inward and down.
Seems a bit unrelated to the skill set of your average commercial pilot so why do these opinions carry any weight? Furthermore, considering around a third of the comments are unrelated to flight 77, your 250 number is even further degraded.

The jet that hit the pentagon was a 757, much smaller and narrower than the picture of the Airbus posted above. The hijacker actually was a trained commercial pilot. Two people onboard the aircraft placed cell phone calls to family.indicating they had been hijacked.

“Hani Hanjour advanced the throttles to maximum power and dived toward the Pentagon. While level above the ground and seconds from the crash, the wings knocked over five street lampposts and the right wing struck a portable generator, creating a smoke trail seconds before smashing into the Pentagon.[38][39] Flight 77, flying at 530 mph (853 km/h, 237 m/s, or 460 knots) over the Navy Annex Building adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery,[40] crashed into the western side of the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, just south of Washington, D.C., at 09:37:46.[41] The plane hit the Pentagon at the first-floor level,[

I’m not sure what is driving the 9-11 truth movement, whether it is a desire to act as apologists for Islam, or what...but get real people.

They feel scared.

They don't want to believe that a small group of motivated individuals can do what those guys did.

they want to believe that their government is really in control. That it is all-powerful, and all-knowing. That the ONLY way something like that could happen, is if the government did it, or allowed it.

LOL

The guy’s theory is that nuclear bombs were used to bring down the towers. That’s extraordinary all right. Extraordinarily absurd.

You can find loonies with cockamamie beliefs in every profession.

Have you not noticed that every conspiracy theory, no matter how outlandish, is bolstered at some point by pointing to someone who is supposedly an expert in that field as an “appeal to authority”?

It’s because you can always find one flipped out nut who will agree. It’s never mentioned that 99.7% of their profession laughs at the idea, whatever it is.
