Newly-leaked evidence supports contention that FBI did not believe Michael Flynn lied.

A newly-leaked January 29 memo from President Trump's first legal team to special counsel Robert Mueller suggests the president believed fired national security adviser Michael Flynn was no longer under investigation when he famously asked FBI Director James Comey — by Comey's account — to let the Flynn case go. With a wealth of previously-unreleased information about the Flynn affair, the memo also supports the contention that the FBI did not believe Flynn lied to the agents who questioned him in the Trump-Russia probe.
This is HUGE because this is the basis of the Democrat's obstruction claim.
quote:
The bureau interviewed Flynn on Jan. 24, 2017, about his transition conversations with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. In March 2017, Comey told the House Intelligence Committee that the agents "saw nothing that indicated to them that [Flynn] knew he was lying to them." Comey said the same thing to the Senate Judiciary Committee at around the same time; chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, wrote recently that Comey "led us to believe … that the Justice Department was unlikely to prosecute [Flynn] for false statements made in that interview."
Now, with the Trump lawyers' memo leaked to the New York Times, it seems clear that all the key players in the Flynn affair, including the president himself, were aware of the FBI's assessment in real time. And the president's knowledge — that the agents did not think Flynn lied, plus strong hints that the investigation was actually over — underlay Trump's Feb. 14, 2017, statement to Comey that, "I hope you can see your way to letting this go, to letting Flynn go." Trump's lawyers argue that the president had no intention to obstruct an investigation he thought was finished.

Is this the same memo where they finally admitted that trump and his entire outfit had lied about drafting Jr's statement for over a year?

IDK. I really don't know what you are talking about.

There is one way to resolve this. Interview trump and get him on the record on the topic!

why would this claim even matter if the president cannot obstruction justice?

The letter indicates that Trump dictated a small statement on the matter, and that Don Jr. issued a separate, full statement.
The media is overlooking this. I really hope it comes out that this small "dictated" statement was one of his tweets.

I thought it was interesting that Flynn's son said that Flynn did not lie to Pence.
It always seemed that Flynn lying to Pence as a reason for Flynn being fired was a little too convenient. This gave Trump a bright-line reason to fire Flynn without having to go into other, likely more substantive, reasons which could have existed for Flynn to be fired.

It's called arguing in the alternative. It's pretty common.

And yet both Clintons lied to the press, and under oath, yet :crickets: from you?
No one takes shills, hacks, or hypocrites seriously. Just an FYI.

Just admit that you don't care that Trump wrote a lie, and then lied about writing the lie
I mean, I don't really care either, but the people currently investigating him will definitely be interested

Why? Is I what you allege a crime?
Posted on 6/4/18 at 4:33 pm to BBONDS25
I didn't allege anything
They admitted it
At what point does "Trump and his administration lying to America is not a crime" become embarrassing for you?
Rhetorical

I'm confused by your post then. You said the investigators would be really interested in it. Why would they be interested if there is no crime? Interesting.
