I have saw him at Lutheran services with his wife a decade ago (I have family in Nebraska). Granted those were Christmas and it might have been more of a "well it's Christmas and I guess that is the thing to do" and maybe it was a "wife forced me to do it so yes dear, happy wife happy life" deal rather than "this is really what I believe" participation.
