OK so a bit more. The pro-Trump commercials here are quite good. But the Biden commercials are staggeringly well done, and convincing for an average-intelligence voter.
Seeing 25% more Biden commercials.
Talked to a MAGA-hat wearing guy and his wife at the pub too, after I made OP. He and I talked more about Michigan and LSU football than anything else.
It's sad what deranged Leftists and Democrats have done to my conversations the last five months. I typically like to talk/think politics maybe 30% of the time.
All this arson, violence, mayhem, destruction, racism, gaslighting, corruption, and nastiness by Democrats has caused me to have politics on my mind 85% of the time. Thanks assholes!
P.S. we were listening to LSU on WWL somewhat clearly in downtown Detroit, heading back to hotel in fourth quarter!

My liberal relatives in Austin are frightened as well. Their kid is doing classes at home and they work from home staying in mostly. It's ridiculous. I've been going in to work throughout this and my kids are in class full time and engaged in sports for months now. Been on a few vacations as well. The only difference I've experienced is wearing a mask.
Yep, my kids are back in school and I have been on 3 vacations since March. Was going to book a flight to Europe but the testing protocol is ridiculous.
Great prices are available for travel. In comparison my sister has not been out since March. Fear is a hell of a drug.

The easiest way a government can get people to give up their rights is to make them fear something else more than they fear the government taking away their rights.

I have family in Brooklyn. They are terrified of covid. But the science says for their age group there is little to worry about.
Muh science when convenient.
Meanwhile Ive played an entire season of softball. My youngest son is on two baseball teams and I am coaching my oldest on another and my youngest is also playing flag football.
We are all just going out and living to include going to school and my wifes a teacher.
How many Covid cases in close personal contact - One neighbor got it - none of his family members got it. One kid from baseball got it - didn't give to anyone else or any team members. One of my softball teamates got it from her job - didn't give it to anyone else.
So while covid is around and people are getting it - no one is freaking out outside of work - My job requires two negative tests for reporting back to work if you come in contact with covid. It also isn't spreading in homes the way the media said it would when kids are bringing it home.
