Thats where you're wrong. Men do belong because this country NEEDS men to fight its wars. It doesn't NEED women.

Not all men belong, and this country doesn't NEED all men to fight its wars.

It's my main point because I don't consider things like cohesion, etc etc to be insurmountable problems.
It is though. In fact it's the most insurmountable problem posed by women in the military because its literally going against human nature. It's certainly not money or resources stopping us. The US military has both in spades and has shown its willingness to spend both on frivolous shite quite readily.

Argonaut now acknowledges that the only way a woman should ever be selected is if she is among the top selects? She should not be selected if there is a man who outperforms her among the candidates?

You keep saying this. It isn't something that just happened. This has been my position since I jumped into this discussion.

Let me see if I can summarize my understanding of a point. Argonaut now acknowledges that the only way a woman should ever be selected is if she is among the top selects? She should not be selected if there is a man who outperforms her among the candidates that she would be selected in front of? If the above is true, this thread has been 20 something pages for nothing because. 1. No woman has ever outperformed the best non-selected male applicants. 2. No woman ever will outperform the best non-selected male applicants.

That's my take...

How many Silver Stars do you have? Have a CAB?

A CAB? Oh lord. I know you are clueless on the military but CAB's are not rare and they're not particularly difficult to get. Mortar round hit in the general vicinity? Here's your CAB.

It needs men, women are a luxury that we can afford because we have fricktons of money and aren't really threatened by any real enemies to we can create this illusion that women are equal to men.

It is though.
I'm not dismissing your argument out of hand.

I'm simply observing that it's honestly, almost impossible to assess.

Much of what seems to be a cohesion issue actually comes back to the point I'm making.

I mean, I think if we're being honest here..........if, somehow, the most physically gifted person on a Seal team was a woman.........they'd probably figure out how to deal with the other shite.

Yet the Air Force comm dude running his mouth about what it's like to be in combat doesn't seem to have one.

It's called repeating for clarity.

I do it all the time in professional environments. You restate your understanding of someone else's position so that they can say, "yes, your understanding is correct".

It prevents gray.

Come on. You repeatedly stated that I was "finally coming around," did you not?

You really suck at succinctly communicating your position with clarity.

I have a story about a CAB given out to an entire unit that would make you cry laughing.

But, alas. That's another subject.

Because the points being made aren't limited to "don't let them in if they can't succeed."

Eh, I honestly think this whole issue is more detrimental to the conventional forces than it is the SOF forces anyway. Let them be SEALs if they want to, just don't let them in the infantry.
