Navy converting next 19 Virginia-class submarines from SSNs to SSGNs

These will be replacing the four Ohio-class SSGNs that are currently in the fleet (Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, and Florida). These will be able to unleash guided cruise missiles from under the sea, launching them at unsuspecting targets on land and on sea.
The first submarine in the new SSGN variant of Virginia-class submarines will be the USS Arizona (SSGN-803), which is set to be launched in FY2028.

I remember several years ago the Air force wanted to convert some nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles with conventional warheads.

We are loosing something like 17% of its vls tubes in 4 years due to current timeline retirements.
Hopefully the drone ships come online as scheduled as by roughly 2038, we can potentially increase our current amount but 15-20%.

Being a history buff I’d prefer the USS Arizona name being retired.
