I can imagine pretty good arguments on both sides of the question, "should we or shouldn't we?"
but I don't think that
is one of them.
If you're going to assume that possibility, why not Minot?

There was a Marine contingent stationed on all US carriers to safeguard alternative ordnance. This was back in the 90s.

Maybe Seal Team Six could find a way to infiltrate a carrier battle group without being detected, do a boarding, and take and incapacitate the bridge
I saw a documentary on TV where Gary Busey did that to a battleship, so I've gotta believe Vin Diesel could handle a carrier.

Did you have to wear a TLD? The weapons guys on the Roosevelt had to in the 90's. Not sure if it was due to the proximity of the magazines to the RAR or they actually handled nuclear missiles.

If some sort of assault team could somehow get on board a CVN in harbor and fight it's way into the ship no way would they find the magazines way deep in the ship. You can bet there is no open access info that would tell you where they were.
We did have a "divers in the water" security violation sounded late on a Sunday night. We were almost always in the harbor. That got our attention. We secured all the weapons spaces and the pier.
Turns out it was a sailor restricted to the ship who decided to swim to shore.

carrier strike group
On a carrier, in the middle of a strike group, in open water, is probably about the safest place on planet earth.
There is absolutely zero chance that a carrier falls into the wrong hands, even in full scale war it just isnt going to happen.
You MIGHT be able to sink it with conventional weaponry, but I really think it would take a nuke getting through the groups missle defense systems, which are insane.

No we never had to wear a film badge. We had 2 reactors per turbine (first nuke carrier = overkill) and never heard anything about radiation safety. So, given that the Enterprise had twice as many reactors as the Roosey and we didn't mess with film badges, they could very well have handled nukes but I couldn't imagine why they would be on a carrier. Couldn't fly them off and there are no launching systems that I am aware off

This may be the first time in naval history that an AO completed a sentence without saying IYAOYAS.

I remember articles about Australians or Japanese protesting our carriers visiting their countries because they carried nukes.
