I’ve been a Methodist my whole life. Disappointed doesn’t come close to describing my initial reaction to my church being part of this. It also seems contrary to what our church teaches. I’ll be making some phone calls tomorrow. Not that it will matter. But I will speak up. Footnote: this independent (no party) registered Republican this week. I wonder if there were others.

The National Council of Churches, which represents 38 denominations in the US, wrote in a statement on their website that they believe Kavanaugh has "disqualified himself from this lifetime appointment and must step aside immediately."
There are over 30,000 denominations of Churches. Who cares what 38 of them think.
