I’ve been a Methodist my whole life. Disappointed doesn’t come close to describing my initial reaction to my church being part of this. It also seems contrary to what our church teaches. I’ll be making some phone calls tomorrow. Not that it will matter. But I will speak up. Footnote: this independent (no party) registered Republican this week. I wonder if there were others.

It’s time to change the narrative. The Republicans, as Cassidy is promoting, need to find out who, how and why the Ford allegation came about . There has to be a story there.

I too fear Keyser flipping. Money. However she and her husband live in the D.C. area and are/were affiliated with Georgetown University. More at risk. Was disappointed no one asked Ford “ Whose House was it ? “. I was with a group of about 14 delightful older women last week. All of them had experienced teen age groping , some more intense episodes than others. To a person even though the events were, in some cases 60 or more years ago, they remembered where it happened. All were skeptical of the “one beer” claim. To a lady, none of them thought If he did it (which they didn’t believe) he should be denied the appointment over somewhat typical teen boy behavior. None would do so in their own instances. They thought in Ford’s case she either misrememberes or has fantasized something until she believes it. They are praying for K and have deepest sympathy. As the youngster in the group it was an enlightening conversation.
