You said your family was having fun and you left after the comment and would not be going back to any more events.

It certainly ruined something.

I generally just ignore or avoid people that are douchebags. I won’t let them keep me from going places though.

So, the general concensus from the libtards is that we should ignore their constant insults and not respond in kind.

If you do respond, you're being childish and thin skinned. They're not the childish ones, you are for responding.

so to see what and how others on here deal with any of their neighbors and their political opinions,
I just say, “Do you agree with President Obama that elections have consequences?”

They can’t say no because that would mean they refute their hero.

If they say they agree I just say, “Me, too.”

No, he did what he felt best, not what you felt best.

Pretty much

Libs say what they want and you should just go play with your kids and STFU.

Lol... I wasn’t upset bro, I chose not to get into a bad situation. Hey take it how you want, I have no problem throwing hands, but why ruin other good families fun around. I could have engaged but chose not to, plain and simple.

People are going to say what they want.

You can choose to let their remarks affect you or not.

I choose to not let meaningless quips affect me. It has worked out well for me so far.

I haven’t had to leave any fun events.

I avoid certain people who feel the need to snipe on a consistent basis. I'd rather not know how petty these people really are and maintain my sanity

If your only 2 reactions are to “throw hands” or leave, I’m glad you at least had the awareness to do the latter.

Yeesh.

I’m just saying I knew it was going to escalate and that’s why I chose to leave, he wanted to keep going. It wasn’t worth it bro, I get what your saying tho.

And I don't have to be at events that people can't control their selective outrage comments.

But you won't confront them. Your solution is to mind your own business and go play with your kids. I can play with my kids at home and do that without some prick trying to bulldoze the conversation.

You realize this neighbor was testing the waters of controlling the party.

You wouldn't be posting in this thread if true

Politics and religion are toxic, always will be toxic. Some people prefer not to deal internally or externally with them at all times.

I usually avoid those circumstances when I'm at peace.

We are discussing a situation with a poster. He asked how we handled these situations.

I’m trying to explain to him that he could handle it better to where he doesn’t have to leave fun events.

Just buckle down and get in an argument with them next time. Either you or them won't be back next time. Problem solved.

And I'm telling you that you have absolutely no idea what he was feeling, what the environment was like, what his neighbors are like, their history... yet you know exactly how he should fee and react
