I’d love to see every single NFL player kneel, get suspended for the season, and see how that works for the league.

The owners need the tv and game revenue more than the players do. And the owners need the players more than the players need the owners.

yes, i know he's a dumbass, and with our Mitch going from Chalmette star to New York star, more people will be seeing this too

has he ever seen that Chris Rock skit?

We totally agree. I'd love to see it too.

Without doing the research I'll go out on a limb and say the NFL owners are 100% comprised of billionaires who will do just fine if they never earn another cent in the NFL.

I'm guessing the case is not so for the players.

Another question to ponder: When the owners organize to get what they want, it's collusion. When the players organize to get what they want, it's "good faith bargaining." Why?

The players will find out when they get their pay drastically reduced if people stop watching

Why do folks think employees have the right to go against their employers’ instruction while they’re on the clock?

That must be why the player's union caves every single time there is a work stoppage in the league. In a battle between millionaires and billionaires, it's laughable to think the players have the leverage.

Add in that owners bought into their ownership for much higher than it's worth from a earning standpoint. Translation, most of them are doing this as an expensive hobby.

On the other hand, players can be replaced. It's not the first "go-to" option, but it is there.

First of all, you couldn’t get ever player to do this. You have a lot of players who rely on that money for various different reasons.lets just assume that 95% of the black players and 25% of the white/other players kneel.

If you put a shitty product on the field you will have fans, sponsors, cities, states, stations etc. pissed off and losing money or interest. If they truly want to ruin their game and how much they make then they can do this. The salary cap will go down and players will make less. I prefer college football anyway.

When the employees product is the reason for the existence of the company you shouldn't care as long as the revenue flows.

No shite Cpt obvious. The catch with the NFL is that you can't just plug in new players and expect your profits not to suffer. If you weren't 16 you would remember the fiasco of replacement players and empty stadiums back in the early 80s.

It would be stupid to cut off the hand that feeds you.

I guess a college professor would not understand this as they work for public institutions and most never held a job working for a private business.

You are comparing lost profit (owners) vs zero income (players). The players will feel the most pain and blink first.

Come on XFL and bring the consequences of the free market already. We don't want politics in football anymore than it has been already. C-Span doesn't broadcast a Saints game for a reason!

What's your point? The NFL is turning into dog shite. I probably wouldn't watch it anyway, just would like to see the NFL suffer
