A little over 1% fatality rate which includes elderly and those with comorbidities. The rate drops drastically amongst the young.

Wee didn’t change anything either but we all got COVID. After 3-4 days of what felt like either a bad cold or mild flu, we all felt better and life returned to normal. In fact if COVID wasn’t a thing, wed have chalked it up to just a normal cold & flu season.

That’s false. Don’t be that dumb. Herd immunity is the reason why numbers are down. Not due to the jab

I have a sib who's gotten the vaccines and up to date boosters. It seems like she gets covid about every other month.

So you have three anecdotal cases:

I think there are several factors that play into this.
1. We take anecdotal evidence and project it to the general population.
2. The government rolled out a one-size fits all solution. What works in a crowded New York City, may not be as effective or necessary in rural Arkansas.
3. The half life of these vaccines seems to be vastly over-rated.
4. Whether its the new, milder, and supposedly more contagious variant.

As it happens, my wife currently has covid and I don't. We travelled recently and had the same exposure.

We're both equally vaxxed, so why she got it and I didn't, who knows

Got it in January. Sore throat for two days and very mild aches. I've had head colds that pissed me off more. Wife and kid never got it, or at least no symptoms.

I had a close family member who passed away because of covid. Just because someone is old, does not mean their life has less value than someone younger.

I have seen really bad reactions in those healthy and young and not as bad is someone older. It is a roll of the dice.

People should do what they feel is right for them and their families, as they are the ones who will have to deal with the outcomes.

One reason Covid was so bad in the United States is we have so many obese unhealthy people. Other countries with healthier populations didn’t have all the issues we did. It should be a wake up call to put down the sodas and fast food but people won’t.

Same, except I finally caved and got the vax only because it was needed for my job. Never missed work or anything else under my control.

Where did I state elderly lives have less value? I pointed out the low mortality rate of the virus. In fact, it's pretty close to influenza as age increases.

During Covid I brought my family to:

Miami, FL
Yellowstone, WY
Bear lake, ID
Visited family in Louisiana
Cincinnati, OH
Philadelphia, PA
Salt Lake, UT

Drove everywhere so we stopped at all states from the Canadian border (Montana) to Texas, from Texas to the Canadian border (Cleveland) and from Texas to Miami.

All the while living in Houston without so much as a cold…

I never changed a single aspect and we all got covid in my house.

It was like a cold. My kids had minor symptoms for less than 24 hours. Wife and I had symptoms for just over 24 hours.

Sure glad they shut the economy down and ruined our livelihoods for it.

I never changed anything about my lifestyle, never missed a day of work, thought I was immune to it until January of this year. Hit me pretty hard. Still have sinus issues to this day.

This was my brother. Got it. Stayed in bed instead of walking and moving. Pneumonia settled in. We nearly lost him. He was in the hospital 44 days. 7 in ICU.
