You know, it’s very possible she couldn’t be certain if the cops used faulty photo lineup, but it serves your narrative to suggest it was because of some sjw streak in the girl.

People see someone take a knife to the vitals and just wrap up the wound and keep on fighting and kiss the girl at the end of the movie. People think that's how it works in real life.
That's the biggest problem with the symbiosis between people and television. An alternative reality has been created, and people substitute it for the truth.

And it likewise serves a narrative to ignore the reality that police had a pretty good idea of who this suspect was before police ever presented this girl a photo of the alleged killer.
