Wanting to break away from a government that no longer has the values it was founded on is somehow disgusting, intolerant, unlawful (lol), treasonous (lulz), are un-American in your view?
No, it's not. Like I said, if you don't like it, and don't have the chest to try to change it, then take your shite, and GTFO. You can break away, just not the state that has a bunch of people that disagree with you in it.
The funny part of this whole stupid shite is that I've watched as Nixon was president, Republicans thought America was great. Then when Carter was president, Republicans thought that America was terrible. Then Reagan was president, and Republicans thought America was great again. Unfortunately, Clinton came along and Republicans thought America was terrible again, until Bush Baby came along and united everyone under the banner of invading foreign nations. Republicans told anyone that didn't like it, they could leave it. But then Obama was elected and Republicans thought that America was a terrible place again. Luckily, Trump came along and Made America Great Again! Too bad he lost his re-election bid to a dementia-riddled turnip, and now we find that America is a bad place again.
It's a comedy of absurdity.
How about this, instead of tearing the nation apart, why not just wait until the next Republican president is elected, and then you can shove it in all the liberals faces and laugh at them and tell them how great America is again, and that if they don't like it they can find somewhere else to live? Wouldn't that be a lot easier?

California new york and illinois are a huge net plus for the us treasury
AS if the US treasury matters in this case. Good luck feeding all of the people in those states, keeping them warm, and having fuel for all of those vehicles.
Would NY, Illi, and Cali be willing to accept people who are left leaning as refugees? I know in my red state I would be willing to accept those with the same values I have.

So now we're splitting up states
Yes, several states will be split up if this happens
Most of california will split from the L.A./sanfran area
Most of new york state will split from NYC
Most of washington state and oregon will split from the coastal cities
Western PA will split from the philly area
Almost all of VA will split from the nova/DC area
The scary part(for you) will be when the canadian flyover provinces split from their more urban masters in BC and Quebec.

Our nation’s problems go far beyond Democrat/Republican divides.
It doesn’t matter who’s in office.
The die is cast.

Nope. The trump presidency simply showed everyone who was paying attention just how far gone this country is. Russian collusion, Impeachment over nothing, and fake story line after fake story line that dummies believed.
Enter Covid and we got to really see how the mass of the population will believe propaganda.
We are right now funding a war against a superpower with "the adults" in charge and the media is fricking silent.
America has been steadily degrading since GHWB was president.
It's past time for the ideological split to happen.
If Red states suck so bad, why would Blue states fight to keep them? Blue states should just use all that money they have and offer a hand to refugees from Red states.

That is certainly not what I was being told on this board during the Trump administration.
But I never see all this separatist bullshite when a Republican is in office - even though it's the same country with the same problems. It only pops up from one side when a Democrat is president. Kind of makes the whole proposition seem rather specious.

You handout seeking, gun grabbing losers are pitiful.

I came over to check out the wackadoos. Y’all did not disappoint.

bullshite. There was plenty of separatist discussion happening during the Trump administration. In fact, I would argue that the actions taken by the left and GOP during his tenure are exactly why these discussions are more common place now.
I would agree though that the only serious conversations happening aren’t happening online except between fed agents and those dumb enough to fall in their trap.

I can’t comment on that—tho it doesn’t surprise me.
My desire to divorce from the US is bipartisan in nature and existed pre-Trump.
I’m barely following the national election (beyond entertainment value), as the outcome is a moot point.
Trump … Biden … DeSantis … Harris ….
It’s all the same.
I’m not attempting to sway you to “my side” (ha!), nor am I speaking for any other poster here.
But my culture and allegiance is to Texas.
That doesn’t mean I don’t view the other 49 states as “friends;” I simply believe it’s time Texas went our own way.

No, maybe now we get more than two parties, they will just lean conservative, libertarian etc. we can even still have “Democrats” as long as they know some of the more liberal policies the blue state democrats subscribe to (“everything is racist,” criminal justice reform, defund the police, abolish prisons, trannies playing girls sports, tax tax tax, welfare, lenient on crime policies, affirmative action, reparations, the green new deal etc.) are no longer allowed. Sorry, not sorry.

We can do this amicably or not so amicably. I’m fine either way. I know plenty of liberals that have been saying they support this or have proposed this same thing for years. They think the red states would fail. So, why would they be clutching their pearls now? Just because MTG said it? We cannot heal or come together. Those days are long gone. It’s either do this amicably or things are going to come to a head, eventually… which the split can avoid.

Only an unhappily married angry women would use language like that.
Didn’t people “vote” on her to fix things and now she’s offering no solutions?
Damn, we need to vote harder in the future and get the right representation in office!

Where does marriage enter into this?
I agree, however, that she’s unhappy.
As am I.
I get that.

Yes.
You’ll receive no argument from me.
Our “issues” (as a country) go far beyond the election of a single candidate.

I’ve read this sentence multiple times and am struggling with the meaning/intent.
Bottom line … I don’t know what “voting harder” means.
The right representation will ultimately be left to the people.
