Same shite happened when the media called Florida for Gore and it has not changed since...

This is the most logical explanation. Although its more likely a mistake by the technical director than the graphics op.

Most likely, the actual numbers come from an Excel doc that's used as a database to feed the results fields on the CG. It's probably filled with garbage data (or perhaps even old data from some point during the 2016 election).

More indicative of general sloppiness than liberal bias. Not that MSNPC isn't the worst in the latter regard, but this isnt evidence of that.

Completely different situation - that was due to blatant ignorance of the fact that the panhandle is in the Central time zone and the polls were still open for another hour. Inexcusable, and it still happens on a regular basis.
