Man, I wished he would've approached them during their live shot and asked why they were blocking that many handicapped parking spots.

“They claimed they had a live shot, so Sarah walked into the shot. They cut the feed and got pissed. Fortunately, other people joined in, plus firefighters who were there for Prop B,” he said. “We finally left once their van was loaded. But there were plenty of witnesses and pictures/video taken by others.”

Atencio apologized for blocking the handicap spot on Twitter but did not address the claims that her crew did not move until after repeated chiding by Berrie and fellow voters.

“We made the wrong call today by using a disabled parking spot for our live shot in TX. There’s no excuse. I apologize to the two people who were on their way to vote as it’s one of the most important parts of our democracy; we’d never want to jeopardize anyone’s ability to do so,” Atencio wrote.

MSNBC did not respond to a request for comment

Firefighters even got into the action. Should have towed their fricking cars.

so you're ok with the veteran in the wheelchair having to park elsewhere & navigate around these idiots?

I wonder how that would work out for me if I did the same thing? ..oh that's right I only have ONE car so at most I could only block one handicapped spot.

how about refusing to move even when the fire department showed up?

It was the only van accessible spot available. He had to go park in a back lot

Am I suppose to be outraged by this? The man has the right to bring this to the attention of the MSNBC staff on site and to whoever is running the voting location, but this being used as red meat to fuel conservative hatred toward left leaning organizations is trash and the kind of stuff that makes me hate politics.

Yeah I agree, bad move by MSNBC. The anchor apologized. What else do you want? Why is this small incident being reported as news?

cause that's all they got. why wasn't it about a person in a wheel chair. why did they have to throw in the veteran angel, red meat for the base.

im against him fricking whining about it. If he wasnt looking for attention he would take it in stride. As another poster said this is just hate tactics by the right at this point.

Well, that was a dumb thing to do, but I don't sense a seismic shift anywhere because of it.

Because the news Daily Caller reports on is useless, just like this asinine non-story.
