I'll call him a name...Pollyanna! Any administration can goose the economy by spending more than it is taking in. This is borrowing from the future to benefit today. It is also inflationary, which is an insidious form of taxation that falls most heavily on the middle class. This is why the middle class is thinning out and we are getting an unsustainable disparity in wealth in this country.

We have been doing this for 40 years. For the first 30 years of that we had the benefit of offshoring to draw the venom from the inflationary effects, which made the policy effective. This has slowed, and is possibly reversing, which is making the policy insane.

It seems to directly contradict it, IMO.

An interesting point. There is a realignment taking place. I don't pretend to understand how it will shake out, but the Democrats appear to be becoming the party of monied interests and the Republicans appear to be becoming the party of working people. They are flipping roles, while holding positions that used to make sense -- Dems wanting free medical and Repubs wanting low taxes - for their overall platforms.

When’s the last time we’ve had 8% growth?

If the country had 8% growth, which you claim is normal.. the economy would melt down faster than reactor #4 at Chernobyl… dumbass

An economy growing at 8% would quickly become unsustainable. It can't meet the demands of consumers, businesses, and the government.

Inflation has been cooling due to the Fed's interest hikes, but that's only one "lever." The GOP taking the House has hobbled Biden's binge spending which is another major "lever" in stopping inflation.

Another remaining lever is the supply chain which Biden's band of AGW Cultists are still trying to strangle with rules, regulations and ideological stupidity.

Trump had us on 4% growth at times. Always above 2%. That was with less than 2% inflation. Yall are bragging about POTENTIAL 2% growth (will not be that high and will be revised after its released with no one talking about it) with 8% inflation. These are terrible numbers.

Is this the our current crop of administrators and business leaders aren’t capable of anything north of 4% growth consistently, therefore it isn’t possible argument? Well this is what we have and no one could possibly be smarter then the geriatric so we might as well vote for him again, golly gee you sound smart

I did not say he averaged that. I said he had it hit 4% at times. 2-3 percent is great if inflation is well below 2%. We have 8%. That is 8% the way the obiden admin. is reporting it. Its higher than that. When inflation is over 4 times that of growth you are in a bad way.

Are you retarded or something? Can you read? I said he did not average 4% but did hit that mark on a few occasions (monthly and quarterly).
