Who doesn't? When you give the government legal and political cover to give away tax dollars hands are always going to be out. I don't see the difference between the hand of a farmer and the hand of the Deere CEO.

somewhat but in cattle, and rice the us could provide the vast majority of what the US consumes. in crawfish the US could provide over half

In this case it’s not farm aid but farm equipment manufacturers asking for aid.
Deere and CNH have been raping farmers for years and are a large reason farmers are struggling. frick em, they’re multinational corporations worth billions. They can suffer imo and lower the price of equipment to increase sales like everyone else does. The difference with actual farmers is they don’t have this option because crops are commodities
