Well, you made those movies 40 years ago... so duh.

Someone should ask her if she's ashamed she didn't portray a tranny in the movie.

Gee Molly, 1984.....suburban Chicago....mostly? The scandal.....preposterous.

Molls, sweetie the dirty secret is that if John Hughes were to make The Breakfast Club or Sixteen Candles today in the same place, the ethnic make up probably is 90% the same.....just add in an Indian kid or two. Maybe a gay kid.

I think she’s right. Imagine Breakfast Club in a public school today, and everybody in detention is a honkey. Nah, not buying that

Yeah, Breakfast Club today would consist of a group of people of color beating the shite out of a female teacher and then posting to tictok with a lot of F words.

So much better today I guess.

Schools I went to growing up were 100% white and private. My high school won Governor's academic awards three out of the four years I was there.

Pledging her allegiance to the white woman religion of progressive thought.

Pandering.

It's so silly. John Hughes movies are incredible time capsules of the majority population that happened/happens to be white.

Coming to America, The Color Purple, Lean On Me, Do The Right Thing, Glory, School Daze, Harlem Knights, I'm Gonna Get You Sucka, etc all "black" movies in the 80's with all black or with a few token other races.

That's odd...

I found it annoying to note the one same gummy short-haired red-headed mannequin-like actor featured coincidentally in far too 80s mediocre movies Ringwald ruined.

She should give up all her wealth and her home that derived from those movies to homeless blacks; that is the least she could do.
