It isn’t against the law here. Get your permit and you’re good to go from a legal perspective.

The department vowed to investigate the attack “until all individuals responsible are identified and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Oh I bet they're working reeeeeeeeeal hard on it.

As of tonight, 9 teens have been arrested. But don't go thinking justice will be served. San Clemente and Oceanside are democrat controlled cities. I'll bet the teens will only get hardcore time doing community service.

Nine teenagers were arrested Tuesday in connection with the brutal on-camera beatdown of three Marines on a California beach over the weekend.

Four males and one female were charged with assault with a deadly weapon and were admitted to the juvenile hall, Orange County Sheriff’s Department announced.

Another four minors were reportedly charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, according to CBS News.

San Clemente Mayor Chris Duncan said deputies have apprehended the main suspects among a group of up to 40 others that ruthlessly attacked the three servicemen who were enjoying their Memorial Day weekend near the Pier Bowl.

“They think they have the people they are looking for,” Duncan said. “Not to say that there might not be a few others out there. They feel pretty confident that they have the main perpetrators.”

Investigators used video footage of the attack to track down the brutes, according to the mayor.

“In today’s age, you’re going to get caught — people are going to record it,” said Duncan. “I hope this serves as a learning lesson for young folks in the community not to let themselves get out of control when something like this happens.”

Got a question though. Did these Marines send any of these attackers to the hospital with severe injury? The Marines I knew would have made sure to bring some of those attackers with them to the hospital.

I can remember a time when this was pretty much a fair fight…slight advantage, jarheads.

Aren't there laws prohibiting such conduct?

I know flash mobs aren't against the law (a flash mob of 20,000 youths assembled a few years back on Surfside Beach in Brazoria County) but assault and battery still is, in most jurisdictions.
