Dude, you and me both. Theres so much that is not really rational but simply involves backroom deals and god knows what.

Its best not to try and make too much sense out of anything, we simply dont know shite until we see it happen and everyones goes home for the day

No. It means something. It means the Senate will be ready to confirm IMMEDIATELY.

That is not nothing

He didn't say he had 51 votes to confirm.

As soon as the FBI supplemental is turned over he’ll have 54 or so.

This isn’t for the final vote. This is just to proceed. Basically they will be getting all of the preliminary stuff out of the way while the FBI is doing it’s thing.

The Judiciary Committee voted to move the confirmation to the full Senate.

Mitch McConnell has just called for a vote in the full Senate to proceed with the nomination. This brings debate to the floor. Democrats will filibuster.

After 30 hours of debate, Republicans will hold a cloture vote to close debate and end the filibuster and call for the final vote. That will happen Monday.

Sometime after that (presumably when the FBI has wrapped up its investigation of nothing), the final, actual confirmation vote will be held. That could be Monday. It could be Friday or any point in between.

No, they are starting the process in the Senate. There is a time limit before they can vote after starting the process

remember that Justice Clarence Thomas didn't get committee voted and he made it to the point that turtle just called the vote for.

if he passes today they go on in 30 hours. the eff bee eye inv. goes on while they do turtle business and vote in about 7 days.

There are 2 procedural votes before the confirmation.

So, a total of 3 votes
