From reading, there are 5 personnel up to promotion (put on list prior to Hegseth). Hegseth wants Butler out and his boss, Driscoll who is head of the army is hesitant.
Now Butler has stated he can be taken off the list if it will help the others get their star.
I find it honorable that he would sacrifice a star for the others. Such a patriot.......
Or maybe, just maybe it could be for colluding with a treasonous piece of shat.....

quote:
Col. Dave Butler, spokesperson for Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, defended Milley's 2020-2021 calls to Chinese counterparts as routine, necessary, and coordinated actions to ensure stability. Butler emphasized that these communications were vital for "avoiding unintended consequences or conflict" and were not secret, but rather part of duty-driven efforts to reduce tensions.

I mean, I was just a lowly, mid-level functionary during my time in uniform, but I kind of sorted out this:
The Secretary of Defense/Secretary of War is actually in the National Command Authority. The entire defense department works for Pete Hegseth who works for the 47th President of these United States.
Secretary of the Army Driscoll can be hesitant all he wants. He can:
1. Comply with the order,
2. Resign

They took a swing at the boss and missed. A man had to know his limitations

Butler is a Milley guy, through and through. He was his chief propagandist.

I bet Pete discovered that Butler has some loose lips when it comes to the media and other organizations

Thanks fellas.
The twist in the msm is that Driscoll went to Yale with JD and is friends with him, implying some conflict between Hegseth and JD. I think thats bullshite fodder.
Hegseth trying to clean up all the mess from previous administrations.
So much work, Hegseth is doing yeoman's work while swatting away flies the whole time.
