So you don't think the Bible says that we should support the Jewish people? Ever heard of the Abrahamic Covenant? I believe that is one the main things that we as a nation should support foreign policy wise. A nation that stands with Israel is a aligned with God's Word. The fact you say that his stance embarrasses you is laughable honestly.

I quit watching late night talk shows years ago. After Carson and Leno, the platform died.

Speak for yourself dude. I'm no fan of Mormons, but I saw the play for what it was.

I sort of enjoyed Colbert and Kimmel a long time ago, but they are completely deranged now.

Ok. You're a religious wacko too. You believe something that was not a tenet of Christianity until the late 19th century at the earliest.

Coming from a religious wacko, I'll take this as a compliment.

Plot twist: The Bible is not talking about the modern-day nation state of Israel.

Please enlighten us on who the Bible is referencing then. Since Mike and I are aligned on this point and religious wackos, I really want to hear who you say God was talking about. If it's not the Jewish nation and current day nation of Israel then who is under the Abrahamic Covenant?

Wow Colbert you really stumped any true Christian with your witty remarks!

Jesus fulfilled the old covenant. Next. So many "Catholics" don't know anything about the bible.

Mormons aren’t Christians. They believe Jesus was just one of many gods and believe that they will be gods too one day with their own planet and multiple spiritual wives.
So, it is acceptable to mock religion, so long as it is not YOUR religion on the receiving end, right? 'Cause YOUR religion is the "true" one?

What’s not funny is the prospect
of politicians incorporating their interpretation of Scripture into
statutory law. That would be nothing to laugh about.

Colberts shame number is minus 5.

He will do anything to appear edgy and hate filled, it is the raw meat his audience wants.

And just so we are clear, Colbert is not a devout anything. I am not near the Christian I should be, but I would not dream of saying any of that shite.

I think he's confusing Johnson with Jews.
The facility with which Christians exempt themselves from the portions of the Bible that they don't like is very ... utilitarian.

It goes all the way back to Paul deciding that non-Jewish converts need not be circumcised. Lots easier to get converts, when you don't demand that they slice their weiners. That was some creative "theology," and it set the tone for the next two thousand years.

What is it about any of their criticisms that aren't expected?

Am disappointed if none of them made reference to something the Scripps network showed - that of Johnson announcing before the House that he's all for 14 billion dollars to Israel, if it's balanced with a cut of 14 billion to the IRS.

Bet that didn't sit well with the late-nighters, and would understand if they just happened to not mention it.

Broke a precedent recently and stayed with the t.v. station to see what this guy Kimmel was using in his monologue. But should have known in advance.
Turned out to be an extended harangue and mocking of Trump; that took up over 95% of the monologue.
Are all the other late-nighters this coordinated.
He was so wrapped up in his smug attacks on Trump he even got lost in the middle of one of his quips, which electronic editing had to cancel out and he had to start over.
All of this was expected - just not to that level of saturation. But it's been unrelenting now for almost 8 years.

What was most telling was that audience who whooped and hollered in glee like banshees after every barely droll quip.

Then to give a false impression of "balance" he then went to Biden. The day that Biden supposedly visited Tel Aviv.

His mention of Biden could've been taken as a straight, objective news report.

But when he mentioned Biden visiting Tel Aviv and followed that up with "he really knows what he's doing," then we hit the button.

Won't be going back to any of them. That they even survive in media is another indication of where we are as a nation.

Without Trump, what would they actually feel worthwhile to talk about.

Just happened upon a rather easier to watch report of news with the Scripps people. They are leftist, but actually go where most of the others don't. And better select their news stories.

At this point, there are parts of Gaza that are mere rubble.

They even returned to Maui and showed recently released video on what happened with that woefully mishandled disaster.
