Mike Johnson must be clean AF or he wouldn't even be debating this. Let's hope that's the case and he can't be blackmailed.

Proud to say that he is my Rep. Have shook his hand several times. He’s also the first politician I have sent money to in many years.

When you are smarter & more principled than others, it’s not necessary to make a fool of yourself. No compensatory facades with Mike!

They will execute a terror attack so that they can blame it on not having FISA and therefore needing super FISA.

Gaetz's star continues to rise.

But pleased to hear that Johnson is close to getting rid of this country's closest version of an illegal Court of Star Chamber.

Made up mostly of John Robert appointees, who salivated when they saw the Trump name on those corrupt, incomplete submittals. Illegality breeds more illegality.

Lawmakers have reached an agreement to temporarily extend the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), three sources tell NBC News, a move that could save the intelligence community from losing a key tool when it expires at the end of the year.

The agreement, which will reauthorize FISA through April, is part of bipartisan and bicameral negotiations on a path forward on the annual National Defense Authorization Act. Lawmakers had seen the NDAA as a likely vehicle for a temporary extension of the program and whether it would ride with the package had held up attempts to finalize the bill in recent days.

The compromise still needs to be finalized in the text of the bill and would need to pass in both the Senate and the House. That is expected to happen before lawmakers leave Washington for the New Year at the end of next week.

There are ongoing attempts by different groups of lawmakers to reform FISA, particularly Section 702, which is the method U.S. intelligence agencies use to data from phones, emails and other messages of foreign persons abroad.

I would be excited about this but Reps support it just as much. They just want to spy on a difrerent set of Americans. Same thing, different Party.
