Yes and they will also pick up seats in the Senate. People are tired of the media lies. CNN's ratings are so low because people are not buying the bs they are selling anymore.

Dems need 23.

They won't get it.

They'll get around 15, give/take a few.

They'll also lose 4-6 in the Senate.

I think the GOP holds the house. There won't be a wave of either color.

I want to be wrong but I think the numbers are going to tighten a bit after November.

I really want to be wrong.

Here is why I HATE, LOATHE, DESPISE the all too powerful Fed Gov.

Why is it so important that we have a centralized, homogeneous set of rules that apply so broadly over 330+ Million people? Especially since we KNOW that 40% are strong "left" and 40% are strong "right".

The fact is the following is POSSIBLE in a few months:

Suppose Rs keep House by 1 vote.
Suppose R and Ds (at least as they caucus) are even 50-50 (R's maintain control by VP Tie Break)
R has POTUS.
SCOTUS is 5-4 "Right"

Now, R's can move legislation to the RIGHT in that scenario.

Skip to 2020:

D's win POTUS

D's win 2 seats in House.

NOW - by virtue of THREE (3) human beings changing - D's control POTUS, House, and Senate (via VP vote)

D's can move legislation "Left" because THREE people change jobs. IF two SCOTUS conservatives die in a car crash together, 5 humans can change the entire course of the political landscape for everyone.

That is frickERY.

I reject the notion that we should have 50 States that are all alike (except for accents, cuisine, etc) and a large, powerful Fed Gov to tell all of us how we shall behave. All at the whims of changing out single digit number of humans in certain chairs.

The indefatigable Trump will barnstorm the Hinterland and ramp up the Base just like He did last election; He'll drop some evidentiary bombs (Declassification?) re the "witch hunt", and should force votes in the Congress (Wall/secure Border, Kavanaugh, cement Tax Cuts, etc.) that will expose the anti-American Dems and change the electoral dynamic.

This is not hard. The American People don't want to see our Nation go the route of Venezuela. Yeah, the R's hold the House and make gains in the Senate, and prosperity continues. Thank the Good Lord.

So basically you believe in the Constitution?

The only hope this country has of surviving together long-term is to return power to the states and drastically reduce the size and importance of the FedGov but I don't know how that is going to happen.

I sure wish California would try M4A before shoving it down everyone else's throats.

I believe this was the founding fathers' idea of the country. Let the states make their own laws with little federal government meddling.

Over time though, federal politicians began promising and doing more and more to get elected.
