No I specifically posted knowing Afghanistan is in Central Asia and not the Middle East.
Just like I also posted that they're not Arab, because, well, they aren't.

Yes it is possible for a terrorist organization to get hold of pure opium to make a deal with a Mexican cartel to gain access to our borders.
Organizations having nothing to do with this conflict, who primarily want to rule over their mountain shithole of Afghanistan.
When 911 happened, OBL may have planned it from Afghanistan under the protection of the Taliban, but it was an Araba-Saudi operation. I don't think the Taliban has ever flexed against the US outside of Central Asia (and only after the US invaded Afghanistan).
I mean hell, when the Araba ISIS organization was the fear porn symbol of the day, they fought the Taliban in Afghanistan

911 was coordinated with the Mexican cartels?

Why can’t we get with the Mexican government and come up with a plan to cut the head off the snake and not stop ?
What is holding us and Mexico back?

No and the OP isnt saying they are coordinating attacks
They help them cross over and probably buy opium from them
Shouldnt that be enough for US Military to intervene. Id say yeah. You boy Drumpf offered. Mex declined. We havent sent in the military and never will

If a terror attack happens in America and the cartels are linked to helping them get to America its game over for the cartels. Cartels like to make money and avoid the American Military. Their CIA handlers have let them know this by now.

Mexico is just coming off a very bloody civil war against the cartels.
The problem is running into more sectarian violence, like a Latino Iraq/Afghanistan. There isn't an easy solution to "cutting off the head", because its' so easy for other heads to form in their place.

Again, the civil war was really bad.

Exactly.

The problem with these stories is that they assume the cartels are very dumb.
This is the very type of stuff the cartels avoid because THAT is how you get US military response in Mexico, which is their biggest fear.
I mean when low level gangsters associated with the cartels accidentally kill a civilian on the US side of the border, heads roll (literally). That's an unforgiveable frickup.
It's known that the cartels work with China yet you think they wouldn't work with Iran.

The US works with China, too.
China and Iran are nowhere alike.

Good to see scare tactics of the last 20 years still work on cowardly Republicans today. You cowards were so afraid under Bush that you gave away liberties via the Patriot Act. 20 years later you are still afraid and now even more stupid.

I wont be surprised if we have another attack on American soil in the next couple years.
Our administration forgot that their first fricking job, is to protect the people who are Americans and tax payers.
I am ashamed of what our country has become.
This isn’t the country I had pride in as a younger man.
