I was referring to moderates and independents - AKA, people who don't know what they want

The MSM is going to try to convince people that Trump is destroying Democracy. Trump has to counter that by selling people on why he is doing what he is doing.

Trump will need help from high profile people like Elon Musk, RFK Jr, Tulsi Gabbard, etc to reinforce his message. People will listen to them - more so than some unknown bureaucrat that has pushed pencils their entire life

I hope Trump picked Gaetz because he appears to be the opposite of Jeff Sessions. I'm hoping Trump has reformed and figured out how to go on offense outside of the campaign trail. I'm not confident in that, but all I can do is hope for now. When the DC Insurgent Class slings shite at Gaetz, I hope his response is, "frick you, bend over". I hope he fills the prisons with the traitors that infect our govt and I hope he treats the DC Cartel with the same regard they've shown for others and our Constitution. That would be justice. No recusals. No taking the high road. Justice.

Jeff Sessions is the biggest coward in the history of this nation. He stood back and let people that worked for him conduct treason, subversion, fraud, and a silent coup. He foolishly recused from the Russia investigation but he never recused from obligations to insure the proper administration of justice and the integrity of his department. Yet he did nothing. The biggest moment of his life arrived and he fell apart like a cheap tent in a storm.

Trump's worst mistake was to not fire him immediately when he recused himself. It is the biggest reason I don't trust Trump. He knew it was all BS, it was all taking place in his own branch, and he never went on the offensive. It wasn't just him they were after, they were destroying our nation and bringing an un-elected cabal to the surface to institute their own authoritarian agenda. Trump never went on the offensive. This was/is a direct existential threat to the nation and he did nothing but issue mean tweets to Sessions. The result of his failure to act was COVID, 15M+ invaders, massive inflation, injury, harm, and death of Americans, and taking us to the edge of complete implosion as a nation.

Gaetz is signifying he may not have learned the important lesson (learning to rely on strategy and intelligence as opposed to non-strategic and random aggression)

Come on man... You don't think Trump has a strategy? Do you think having one if the smartest men of our time glued to his hip isn't beneficial?
Not too mention Vance Vivek, RFK Tulsi......

Just because YOU don't know the plan doesn't mean there isn't one.

By appointing Gaetz, it shows this, due to how we expect Gaetz to operate

No, I'm talking about his failure with the KM ousting fiasco.

Super aggro and had to bend the knee to the DEMs and it accomplished literally nothing except virtue signaling.

Democrats use courts, DAs and AGs for lawfare then cry when republicans protect themselves.

When they screech the loudest it only means they are projecting their guilt on republicans.

that style was absolutely terrible in Trump's first admin. It completely neutered the Trump agenda

Democrats neutered the first admin with lawfare and a literal made up Russia hoax.

The KM ousting was such a fiasco that we are all still recovering from it. I hope Trump and the Republicans can ever make a comeback.

i would argue that I like the way that Gaetz likes to kick an ant pile. I would also argue that he does not have to be a scheming genius. Nor do any Dept heads. A Dept head must know the direction that you want that department to move in, then people around you have to make it happen. Lastly, I would argue that DJT likes fighters. And Matt has shown that he is not afraid to fight.

So, you don't agree with the way he operates. Great. If he moves the needle in the right direction, who gives a shite how he does it?

Not gonna lie, this is legit criticism, but I think Trump was so much of an outsider that he underestimated the swamp and the damage of him (particularly) playing the moderate. I think he is, right this very second, proving he has learned that lesson.

You have to try to remember back to the hysteria at the time. I seem to recall the machine was waiting for him to fire people over Russiagate so they could remove him.

Nunes did what he could. But, for the most part, people who fought back on Russiagate got crushed. This touches on that with respect to Gaetz.

By the way, DOJ spied on Congress for sniffing around on Russiagate. That's how corrupt our system is.
