Media now focus on claim that Trump was protected from obstruction by his associates

The media now focusing on Trump being protected by his staff when he would be obstructing justice. This means when non attorney Donald Trump posed potentail activities and was counseled not to do so he was still guilty even though he simply followed the advice of counsel and did not proceed.
Was it illegal when Susan Rice lied on national talk shows to protect Hillary Clinton?
The media is working over time to grasp at straws and continue to fail miserably.

If Mueller had a hair on his arse, he would have held a press conference and ended this once and for all.
Not that dems would have let it go, but Mueller leaving just enough of a crack to have congressional dems still mulling impeachment has done the country a grave disservice.

Even Pelosi has admitted impeachment would be a foolish venture. Every issue they cn use for possible impeachment has a very valid defense and they would have to prove specualtive motives and intent which is virtually impossible since the alleged illegal actions never occurred. With Clinton there was incontrefertible evidence he lied under oath.

Its probably not that far off. McGahn stopped a lot of actions that would push the line closer to obstruction.

I think that's fair. What you would argue is that Trump was pushed into considering obstruction due to a politically motivated investigation based off thin evidence.

Yes, that would be the foundation, though it would not necesssarily be a s ound defense if he actually did it.
What is so wrong with the media theory is they want to prosecute or impeach Trump simply for having discussions with his counsel about the applicability of the law to certain actions he might consider. If he received good ounsel and did not proceed where is the crime? Isn't this wht atorney do all the time for their clients?
