An attorney for Murrill sought the subpoenas as part of a public records lawsuit filed last month against special prosecutor Laurie White. Murrill’s lawyers have alleged that White wasn't candid in responding to a request for communications and other records about the unusual July 2 charging of a sitting attorney general.

When the charges were pending, her lawyers filed public records requests with both White and the DA’s office, seeking emails and other records. Blake Arcuri, an attorney for Murrill, then sued over their responses.
The subpoenas were issued in those civil suits to Moreno, Williams, Council President JP Morrell and council members Jason Hughes, Freddie King, Aimee McCarron and Matthew Willard, according to court records.
Along with testimony, they seek communications in which those officials arranged to appear before the grand jury; communication about the July 21 letter urging White to drop the case; and any talk of being Murrill’s victims.

I'm only surprised she isn't suing the members of the jury that indicted her.
Hopefully these politicians haven't signed NDAs like Landry and his buddies.
