Massie cannot give you any more freedom than what limits are written in the Constitution to prevent the government from taking from you.
However, the government can take freedoms that are not expressly written in the Constitution.

FYI, MAGA does this too. When we went to war with Iran, folks pointed out Trump campaigned on no new wars and being the peace President. MAGA then said he said Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. It's the same pivot.
