Not unless you are talking about 1950 in the South and Democrats, you fricking retard.

Racist Republicans are a media creation. Democrats controlled those water canon and German Shepards.

I will freely admit that there are racist tendencies in Louisiana as well as most other southern states. The SJWs on the board seem to conveniently forget that the same thing happens in the northern states as well. The point is, you can't legislate equality. I learned this as a teenager who didn't agree with my hometowns religious beliefs... I'm a white successful male who figured out how to work the system despite how I was persecuted and bullied as a child. Yes, it had a profound affect in me growing up and a lot of it was pretty heinous, but thanks to my PARENT(S)*** I fought through the bullshite and I'm happy with what I became.

It sucks because my black friend from high school (not the only black friend, but the guy I was hanging out with daily) did not turn out the same way. He was every bit as talented as me, but because of his attitude in high school and college, he did not have the success that I did.

Since when does a low favorable rating have to with race?

The question is about how the President does his job. It isn't about if you respect the man, believe he loves his country or loves his family? The question Landrieu is talking about is Favorability according to job. If the poll was about something more personal then I could understand, but she off base on the question.

That's the problem I have with Mary.

Because to hacks like him, there's no other reason that anyone can possibly disapprove of Obama except for his race. That's all these hacks see is race.

You can name 50 things you disagree with Obama on and his answer would be, "So you don't like him because he's black." He's a fricking hack, Lefty McHackie, libtard hack. There's no reasoning with this retard.

Everyone who disagrees with Obama does so because they hate black people!

The real racists in this nation are the Democrats whose philosophy is to steal from the productive, self reliant citizens to provide the most basic of basic shelter, food, and clothing for so many minorities in exchange for their work - pushing a button to vote for Democrats which makes those Democrat politicians rich and powerful.

This is the most obvious thing anyone has ever said.

If you disagree with her statement, you are by definition saying,"The South has always been the friendliest place for African Americans. "

That is the dumbest thing you could ever say about American society.

Cassidy could not have bought advertising that will deliver more independent votes than Mary just got him.

White, rich democrats are an arrogant bunch. They think any white people between the coast, that might go to football games or church or hunting or fishing are ignorant racists. They think all minorities are victims and incapable of independent success. They see themselves as heroes of those they see as victims.

Many are second generation money and as such think only people who are victims of life do not have the money they have. They have little respect for or understanding of how their families obtained their original wealth.

This is Mary's mindset. Couple this mindset with her mastering of creating personal wealth with political clout and you understand her ambition for office.

The dems are pulling out everything they have to appeal to their base, minorities and those women who refuse to think.

Except for the context in which she said it, which was in answer to being asked why Obama is so unpopular in Louisiana, present day.

If she'd been talking about 30-40 years ago I would agree---with the stipulation that the entire US hasn't always been the friendliest place for African-Americans.

A close competitor is the statement, "Some Republicans Believe 'Slavery Isn't Over'..." Landrieu has played into that exact meme.

The abridged quote you cite is all about the past. In abbreviated form, it's correct. But she did not leave it at that. She extrapolated the same behavior to the present. That extrapolation stinks.

There are two obvious problems with what Landrieu said:

(1) it simply isn't trtrue. The woman is acting like it's 1960. She needs to change her calendar. While a state that has elected her sorry butt 3 times would have its collective head examined, it is ludicrous for the incompetent beneficiary of that state's stupid voting history to talk about sexism. I would also offer up Piyush as an example of how much Louisiana has changed, but I saw where some idiot has already said that doesn't count because he is ONLY BROWN (We are so screwed as a country it's not even funny).

(2) Motive - Is anybody here really too stupid to see what Queen Mary's true motive is? If If she was really so concerned about Louisiana's current "mistreatment" of women and minorities, hasn't she already had 18 years to discuss that? This is a desperate, despicable woman who is using DEPLORABLE CAMPAIGN TACTICS in a last-ditch effort to hang on to her job. Shame on her for doing that, and shame on the usual suspects here for so willingly buying into it.

Two more comments, and I'm done:

(1) When even the New York Times criticizes Southern Democrats for unfairly pandering to gender and racial components of the electorate, what does that tell you?

(2) Concerning Obama's approval rating, it was 73% when he took office, and 100% of the electorate, for better or worse, was already factoring in his race.

Obama's approval rating is now about 38-40%. That decline obviously didn't happen because he's black; everybody knew he was black in 2008. The decline has occurred because half the country has figured out that he's an incompetent boob.

But, leave it to guilty white liberals like ATL to stupidly, AND WRONGLY, play the race card.
