How is there disciplinary and readiness issues, when a woman takes your appendix out or fixes your teeth?
Already been addressed in this thread several times.

I see no reason why they should be performed by a woman though because men are just as capable of performing them and don't bring along the baggage that women do.
You seem to be saying that women should have their employment rights curtailed. That legislation should bar them from the Military.
-That is - never going to happen and to recruit men to do those jobs would probably raise the cost of the force significantly, if even enough men are available at all.

Explain to me how it would raise the cost

Basic common sense, try to buy some for a thousand, Alex.

It would not cost more for a woman v. a man to go through boot camp. Any cost difference would be peanuts compared to the basic common sense of a personnel shortage if women are banned from the military.
Let's use living in GTMO as an example. The hospital personnel shortage alone from banning women would be very noticeable to the entire military family and JTF. A man could be pulled from a more combat role/critical billet to be a corpsman in the hospital serving families; versus front line duty.

If you reduce the number of possible candidates, you increase the cost of each candidate who enlists.

quote:Of course it does. That doesn't get into the plus 10% of women who have unplanned pregnancies that cost the taxpayer millions.

We have 300 million people in this country, about half are male. Figure at least half of those are military aged males and probably more. There is no personal shortage.

You are getting into a whole other ballgame of rightious discussion of costs; only if we debate Obama's tranny rights and tranny changeover surgeries. That is a whole different subject and ballgame. The expense of changing heads and signs on all bases and ships, and reformatting racks and living spaces- to appeal to these special snowflakes...needs to end immediately.
As far as pregnancies cost, that is BS. Deliveries and prenatal care, abortions, are all done for free at any military hospital. There are rules set in place regarding a woman not being pregnant during bootcamp. I disagree with your premise overall; of banning women from the military. Women should NOT serve in combat roles. Yet, there is a whole other topic of discussion; because some women are superbly intelligent fighter pilots. If they get shot down they are tought the same survival skills as men. I am not against this as much as front line head to head fox-hole combat.

Okay this will end my discussion with you on this subject. Whiskey pegged you correctly out the gate.
